Foxfire amulet necklace #2

Amulet necklace made with tail bones from a dutch red fox and rainbow obsidian beads.

In Finnish language, the Northern Lights are called 'Revontulet', literally 'Firefox'. It is said that the arctic foxes create the colorful aurora lights, by running so fast that their tails sweep up snowflakes into the sky, where they reflect the light from the moon and stars.

 This necklace honors these Firefoxes. It is made with the small bones from a fox's tail, combined with rainbow-obsidian; beads in the color of the midnight sky with the rainbow lights of the aurora in it.

The tail bones are strung in the same order as how they were in the tail and vary from 1,5 - 2,8 centimeters length. The rainbow obsidian beads in between them have a diameter of 8 millimeters.
