Bells are used for spiritual and ritual purposes all over the world, especially on the Eurasian continent. Also when visiting a traditional shaman, they are not to be missed. They are everywhere. On the costume, on the drum, on the altar, on attributes and spirit dolls.

Bells in shamanism serve multiple purposes. Their sounds and vibrations cleanse space and energyfields, they call in the ancestors and helpfull spirits and drive out the heavy ones. They can be seen as complete spirithouses themself, or for that purpose been sewn on ritual costumes, attributes and spiritdolls. Their sounds are the voices of the spirits inhabiting them.

These bells are made in 'cone'-shape. Three cones are hung together on a ring, giving a loud jingling sound when rattling against each other. This very traditional shamanic style of bells has many names, depending on the region, such as; Hamhinuur, Shanginur, Shomshorgo or Holbogo. Bells like these can be a part of the shamanic costume, but can also be an active part of the altar.

These bells are made from iron and have a total length of approximately 97 millimeters (measured with the metal ring). They come to us via our friends at Shaman Bazar.

These bells are sold per piece, which in this case means; one ring with three cones attached to it.
