Rattle made with the beautiful dark hide from a himalayan yak. This hide is acquired as scrap material from an artisan drum maker. On one side of the rattle a little 'imperfection' can be seen; there are some little dimples in the hide (as can be seen on the 4th picture). We wanted to use every last piece of this beautiful hide and the dimples of course are of no influence on the overall quality of this rattle.
The rattle is filled with organic buckwheat, giving it a nice heavy feel and sound.
This rattle is constructed with a leg bone from a dutch roe deer as handle.
The rattle is decorated with a colorful braid, made from 9 strands of cotton in blue colors. During the braiding, only the best of intentions and blessings were put in.
Total length of this rattle is 18,5 centimeters. It weighs 73 grams.
